We publish a clear, limited record of how directory information is collected, reviewed, and corrected—without turning source activity into a rating or legal endorsement.

Our profile-review process
2. Record source context
We retain source records when a firm submits an update or when editors review material information. A source link is evidence for a claim; it is not a substitute for editorial review.
3. Review corrections
Correction requests are routed to an editorial queue. Editors evaluate the claimed change, supporting material, and profile context before marking a request resolved.
4. Show review status carefully
A profile can show a directory record review, editorial review, or verified source review. The status describes the directory’s review process only; it does not rate a lawyer’s quality or predict an outcome.
What each profile status means

Verified source-type badges
Badges appear only after an editor verifies at least one source connected to a material profile detail. We do not publish submitted source URLs or use badges as rankings.
Firm website verified
A material detail was checked against an editor-verified law-firm website.
Official public record verified
A material detail was checked against an editor-verified official public record.
Editorial source verified
A material detail was checked against an editor-verified editorial source.
Limits of verification
Verification is focused on the specific source or profile detail reviewed. It does not validate every statement on a law-firm website, verify client reviews, authenticate court outcomes, or predict legal results. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Submit an update with a source
Firms can use the correction form to submit updated contact details, a source URL, and an attestation of authority. The request will be reviewed before any review status is changed. See the Profile Corrections Policy for source guidance and typical response timing.
